Applications

Honeywell’s foam blowing agents are used in spray foam insulation for commercial and residential buildings, insulated metal panels, appliance insulation, and many other applications worldwide. Contact us to explore new uses for foam blowing agents.

SPRAY FOAM INSULATION

Closed-cell spray foam insulates, air seals, manages moisture, and increases structural strength in commercial and residential buildings.

PANELS / BOARDSTOCK

Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs) consist of polyurethane (PUR) or polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam between two metal sheets to make panels. PIR board also relies on foam blowing agents.

APPLIANCE INSULATION

Our blowing agents are used in insulation for refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances worldwide. They offer cold temperature performance, reliability, and plastic liner compatibility.

EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE (XPS)

See how Solstice® GBA increases insulation value in XPS planks, allowing for thinner boards that still meet performance requirements.

LNG INSULATION

To transport liquefied natural gas (LNG), ships are foam-insulated to minimize boil-off rate (BOR).

OTHER APPLICATIONS

Our blowing agents are used in many PU foam products such as molded foam (lighter auto parts), flexible foam, trailer insulation, pipes, and integral skin.
