BRUSSELS, Belgium, June 30, 2020 —Honeywell today announced a collaboration with Vesismin Health for a simple-to-use, non-flammable and environmentally preferable solution to treat areas affected by coronaviruses and other infectious microorganisms.
Vesismin, which specializes in infection prevention and hospital disinfection, has incorporated Honeywell’s proprietary hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) ultra-low global-warming-potential technology into its NDP Air Total + Green CE broad-spectrum disinfectant aerosol.
The solution uses Honeywell’s nonflammable Solstice Propellant (HFO-1234ze) to disperse broad-spectrum disinfectant against bacteria, fungi and viruses quickly and efficiently with a one-shot aerosol fogger. The nontoxic disinfectant is dispersed in hospitals and other enclosed areas, such as vehicles, offices, labs, waiting rooms, changing rooms, studios and fitness centers with minimal impact to the environment.
“Our customers favor the environmentally preferable, nonflammable disinfectant product to protect their spaces versus a traditional flammable disinfectant,” said Victor Valles, CEO of Vesismin Health. “Our NDP Air Total + Green with the nonflammability of Solstice Propellant makes our disinfectant safer and easy to use and can accurately treat areas that are difficult to reach, eliminating 99.99% of tested bacteria, fungi and viruses.”
The NDP Air Total + Green CE is compatible with all types of materials and electronic components and the one-shot function allows the user to spray and leave the area after activating the disinfectant.
“Our Solstice Propellant is used in various applications as companies look to address the need for a non-flammable solution, while helping them reach their environmental goals and complying with F-gas regulations, without compromising product performance,” said Laura Reinhard, vice president and general manager, Honeywell Foam & Industrial Products. “We are proud to partner with Vesismin to deliver a safe and simple solution that is also good for the environment.”
The NDP Air Total + Green CE disinfects against the following infectious microorganisms:
- Viruses, including H1N1, influenza surrogated virus for lipophilic viruses (Ebola, Coronavirus, Flu, Hepatitis, HIV).
Honeywell Solstice Propellant is widely used in a variety of aerosol applications, including personal care products, pressure dusters, lubricants and cleaners, party strings, insecticides and freezer sprays. Honeywell’s family of Solstice-branded products also includes stationary, commercial refrigeration and mobile refrigerants; liquid and gaseous blowing agents; and solvents—all based on Honeywell’s HFO technology that helps customers lower their carbon footprint without sacrificing end-product performance.

Testing on the SARS-CoV coronavirus was performed before SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19; accordingly, the disinfectant has not been explicitly been tested on the coronavirus linked to COVID-19.”
